This beautiful Ôchocolate boxÕ thatched cottage dates back to the 17th century and was once the village post office. A remnant of those days is the red post box adorning the front of the property. Corner Thatch is situated in the idyllic Doomsday Book listed village of Abbotts Morton where many of the buildings retain their Ôblack and whiteÕ half-timbered charm.
The nearby villages of Inkberrow (the inspiration behind The Archer's 'Ambridge'); Flyford Flavell; and Radford offer an excellent range of pubs and village stores. Make sure you stock up on holiday goodies at Hillers award winning farm shop, just three miles away from Corner Thatch, where Ragley Meats are available, a great deli, a superb fish monger, gift shop and fabulous cafe/restaurant. A little further afield, the beautiful Cotswolds and Warwickshire borders, including Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle are around half an hour away. However, the surrounding local countryside provides numerous walks over footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes though scenic fields, woodlands and the Piddle Brook watercourse.
