Discover Hanbury Hall before the estate is open to visitors and explore the wider grounds including the formal gardens, designed by George London as well the later more relaxed gardens with orangery, orchards and walled garden.  Nearby, spend an afternoon strolling around the historic town of Droitwich, a spa town that has been settled for over 2000 years.  Famous for its salt, a must do, is a swim at the Droitwich Lido which is one of the UK's few remaining open-air salt water swimming pool. There are also good public transport links in Droitwich to explore the wider area as well such as hopping on the train to Birmingham City Centre for the day. 

Just 10 miles away from the cottage is the cathedral city of Worcester. One of the most ancient cities in England, Worcester is awash with quaint cafés, riverside restaurants and traditional inns where you can while away the hours.
