Situated in a cottage garden in Haxton SP4 9PY, the hut overlooks a meadow and is surrounded by tall trees, offering a secluded and peaceful retreat. The hut is fully insulated with traditional sheep's wool and modern eco-friendly methods, making it suitable for year-round stays. It features underfloor heating, a mini kitchen with a multi-function microwave and fridge, a flushing toilet, shower, double bed, TV/DVD player, and Wifi. Guests staying for two nights or more will receive a complimentary bottle of Prosecco upon arrival, and a simple breakfast is provided. There is also a firepit for use in dry weather.
The hut is located at Willow Cottage in Haxton SP4 9PY, facing away from the main house towards the field at the back, ensuring privacy for guests. Access to the hut is via two steps, so it may not be suitable for those who have difficulty climbing steps. Guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and may even encounter friendly cows near the fence. A simple breakfast is provided, and special requests can be accommodated with advance notice. There are several country pubs within walking distance, as well as a coffee shop and convenience store nearby. Secure storage is available for bikes, and personal laundry services are offered for guests staying more than three nights.
Pets are allowed in the hut, with a small additional fee for bringing a small dog (spaniel size or smaller). However, larger or long-haired breeds are not suitable due to the white furnishings and dry-clean only items in the hut. Water bowl, treats, and dog towels are provided, but dogs are not allowed on the sofa or bed. Throws can be provided for dogs who may object. One-night stays are available Monday to Friday with prior arrangement. Nearby attractions include Stonehenge, Salisbury Plain for cycling or walking, and historic towns like Bath, Marlborough, and Devizes. The area also offers opportunities for birdwatching and game walks.
