Situated high on the Brontë Moors near Walsden, just two miles from Todmorden, this cottage offers a king-size double room with a single sofa bed, a second king-size double room, and a twin room. There is a family bathroom, a shower room, a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, and a cozy sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside, guests can enjoy a patio with furniture and access to a meadow for dog walking, as well as off-road parking for two cars. The cottage is the perfect base for exploring the Brontë Moors and the South Pennine Moors throughout the year.
Amenities at Salter Rake Gate Cottage include oil central heating, a woodburning stove, an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with FreeSat, DVD player, WiFi, and a selection of books and games. Fuel and power are included in the rent, with additional fuel for the stove available on an honesty box basis. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a cot and highchair for younger guests. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and there is lockable bike and equipment storage available. The cottage overlooks the owner's private mature gardens, and there is shared access to a one-acre meadow with an unfenced pond. Please note that the meadow is not suitable for young children due to this pond.
