Bramble Cottage is a delightful 200-year old stone terraced cottage in Bramham, about 3 miles south of Wetherby. It has two bedrooms, each with a window seat, a lounge with fireplace and a small dining area. As usual, David and Anne have taken pride in the details: a Persian rug in the lounge, TV with DVD, an MP3 player, dishwasher, not to mention the artwork and accessories to make you feel at home. Behind the cottage is a paved patio with furniture and a BBQ, also a storage shed with lock.
By the way, the name Bramble has nothing to do with nasty thorns; it was chosen because of the sweet berries which Anne turns into jam. Bramham also happens to be the area where David and Anne pick most of their brambles every year (can’t tell you where, though!) – some people know them as blackberries.
Upstairs, double bedroom (full 4.5-ft. double bed) and single bedroom. Downstairs, lounge with small dining area (sofa in lounge converts into a second double bed, suitable for 1 adult or 2 children); kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, etc.; bathroom with tub and shower. Towels and bed linen included. Street parking.
For what it’s worth, there is a pub 5 doors down from the cottage (no food).
