Haslemere, West Sussex

6

Located in Haslemere, West Sussex, the luxurious Willow Yurt sleeps up to 6 guests and is situated near the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the South of England. The yurt features an open fire and offers a peaceful retreat in the unspoilt Sussex countryside. Handcrafted using hardwood from the local area, the yurt is flooded with natural light from oak stable doors and windows, creating a cozy and comfortable space for guests to enjoy.

The yurt includes a luxurious double bed and optional single beds with fresh linen, as well as a wood-burning stove for warmth on cooler days. Outside, the yurt deck features a fully-equipped camp kitchen, barbecue, washstand, and seating for alfresco dining. A nearby en-suite bathroom hut provides a non-flushing toilet, Victorian sink, towels, and a hot shower for added convenience. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while still having access to modern comforts.

Surrounded by 3,000 acres of rolling fields and ancient woodland, Lower Lodge Farm offers a diverse range of flora and fauna, including kingfishers, deer, and rare orchids. Guests can explore woodland walks, streams, and the ruins of an iron forge, as well as visit the privately owned 12th century Shulbrede Priory. The area inspired the music for the hymn "Jerusalem" and provides a peaceful setting for relaxation and nature appreciation.

On-site parking is available, and taxis can be easily booked from nearby train stations for guests arriving by public transport. The farm is popular with cyclists, with close proximity to off-road routes and secure bike storage. Guests are encouraged to respect the countryside and adhere to the 10pm curfew for noise. Board games, maps, and books are provided for entertainment, and shopping should be done in advance due to the remote location. Guests can enjoy a peaceful and nature-filled stay at Night Pastures, with assistance available if needed.
