The Big Green Shepherds Hut is a bespoke, self-contained, off-grid romantic getaway for 2 people near Charlwood Village in Surrey. Situated on a private estate next to a duck pond, the hut offers views of private woodland and beautiful countryside. The hut, built on a 100+ year old agricultural chassis, was renovated from a neglected state to create a quirky space with modern amenities. Guests can enjoy cooking on a hob inside or outside, dining alfresco, and sitting around a fire pit on summer evenings.

The Shepherd's Hut features a large raised double bed, en-suite shower, composting toilet, hot running water, log burning fire, electric lighting, and solar lighting in the surrounding trees. Due to being off-grid, the hut can only accommodate guests for a maximum of 4 days/nights. The location is also convenient for guests traveling to or from Gatwick Airport, making it an ideal pre or post-romantic stopover to extend the getaway. The secluded hut is accessed via a private track and includes a parking space on hard standing near the hut, with a small pull-along trolley available for transporting items.
