Dorsington, Warwickshire

4

The Old Post Office is a charming Grade 2 listed thatched cottage located in the tranquil village of Dorsington, Warwickshire, in the heart of England. Originally two tiny cottages dating back to the late Sixteenth Century, it was converted into one property and served as the village Post Office in 1903. The cottage has been tastefully modernised while retaining its original features, offering a unique and cosy atmosphere for guests.

The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortable King Sized beds. It features a modern but traditionally styled kitchen, separate living and dining areas with wood burning stoves, and a full modern bathroom with an over-bath shower. Guests should be aware of low ceiling beams and first-floor windows that are close to the ground. Smoking is strictly prohibited due to the timber structure and thatched roof, but battery-powered candles are provided for ambiance.

Dorsington is a short walk to the Dorsington Arboretum and is just 7 miles from Stratford Upon Avon and less than 5 miles from the northern boundary of the Cotswold District. The cottage has private off-road parking for 2 vehicles, a hot tub in a sizeable out-building, and a lawned garden with a patio dining area and BBQ. There is also ample storage space for bikes and an outdoor hose for washing muddy boots and paws.

In addition to its convenient location, the cottage is near attractions such as Cotswolds and Broadway Tower Country Park, as well as Hidcote Manor Garden and Garden of Remembrance. Guests can enjoy a peaceful rural retreat while being within reach of various activities and places of interest in the surrounding area.
