Located in Southgate, Swansea, this charming property sleeps 4 people and is the annexe to Ship Cottage, dating back to the 1700s. Situated near the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this remote beachside cottage is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles. The dog-friendly bolthole features an inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove, perfect for cooler evenings, and offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The open plan living area on the ground floor includes a 4-seat sofa, chair, TV, and dining table, with French windows leading to the garden. The newly-renovated kitchen area is equipped with a fridge, microwave, and cooker. The first floor, accessed via a spiral staircase, features a double bed in the bedroom with French doors leading to a balcony, as well as a 'Jack and Jill' en suite shower room. Entertainment amenities include a TV and DVD player, while the large balcony outside offers seating for 4 people.
Guests can bring their pets by prior arrangement, with an additional pet fee required. Access to the property is limited to the owner's 4x4 Landrover, with no vehicular access available other than on the day of arrival and departure. In some cases, access may be by foot only due to flooding, adding a 10-minute journey via the beach or a woodland path. Weekend discounts are available for 3-night breaks commencing on a Friday in February, excluding school holidays. The owners provide transportation from a residential area 1.1 miles away, and guests are welcome to bring their own 4WD vehicle if confident in off-road driving.
