A peaceful hideaway for two, on the Polesden Lacey Estate.

Yew Tree Barn is a restored, larch-clad barn tucked up a lane by Yew Tree Farm, with a contemporary interior and lovely views.  

On the ground floor you’ll find the master bedroom with the shower room across the hall. Double sinks are set in a large piece of yew, salvaged from the estate when an enormous tree was lost in a storm. A steep staircase leads up to an open-plan space with a dining kitchen and sitting area. There’s a wood burner up here and views across the estate. 

A door from the kitchen leads down steep stairs into the small, enclosed garden, with a lawn and small dining patio. There's an electric car charging point.

There’s lots to discover on the Polesden Lacey Estate, with walks, bridleways and waymarked trails through woodland and over rolling hills. You’ll have free entry to the mansion and garden, and there’s also a shop and a café. The estate offers a diverse range of places for wildlife to live and is home to many species of bat. You’ll see a bat box on the back wall of the barn and there are more in the trees. Ranmore Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is close by and home to an abundance of birdlife, including buzzards and hobbies.
