The cottage features a timber-framed structure with exposed beams, a winding staircase, and an Aga in the kitchen that adds to its character and charm. The well-equipped farmhouse kitchen includes a breakfast dining area, while the dining room has a refectory table with seating for six guests. French windows in the sitting room lead out to an enclosed garden with furniture for alfresco dining. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Gildhall.

On the first floor, there are three good-sized bedrooms - a double and two king-sized rooms - all with quality linens, en-suite shower rooms, and a family bathroom. The floors are slightly uneven, adding to the cottage's historic charm. Outside, guests have access to fifteen acres of parkland and their own enclosed mature gardens, ideal for children and dogs to explore safely. There is driveway parking for at least three cars, making it convenient for guests.

In addition to the main features of the cottage, two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. A cot and high chair are available upon request, and guests should be aware that due to the age and character of the property, the stairs are steep, floors are uneven upstairs, and there are a few low beams.
