There is an acre of dog exercise orchard and meadow on the property, as well as footpaths leading into open countryside. The cottage can accommodate two infants and provides highchairs and travel cots for free, although guests are asked to bring bedding for the cots. Superfast broadband is also available in the cottage.

Inside, Orchard Cottage features a stunning inglenook fireplace with a massive open log fire, a well-equipped kitchen, and two large bedrooms with exposed beams and peaceful views. The cottage was created from the old hay and pigeon lofts of the original farm quadrangles built in the 1720s, giving it a cozy and historic feel.
