Located in the village of Chelmorton near Buxton in the Peak District, 2 Primitive Mews is a charming barn conversion cottage that can accommodate up to four people in its two bedrooms. The cottage features a double bedroom and a twin room, both with ensuite facilities, as well as a kitchen with a dining area and a cozy sitting room with a woodburner. Outside, guests can enjoy a gated rear garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue, as well as shared use of a children's wooden play castle and off-road parking for two cars.

The cottage is equipped with modern amenities such as electric central heating, a woodburning stove, an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a 60” plasma TV, a Blu-ray/DVD player with a selection of DVDs, WiFi, and a small library of books and games. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and guests are welcome to bring along one small, well-behaved dog to enjoy the shared use of a 3-acre grass paddock where dogs can run off lead. However, no other pets are allowed, and the dog is not permitted upstairs. Smoking and vaping are also not allowed on the premises.

The Peak District National Park, where the cottage is located, offers stunning countryside, picturesque villages, and magnificent scenery across 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales. The village of Chelmorton itself features a village shop and pub serving good food, as well as a historic landscape of 'fossil' arable strips enclosed within drystone walls and a lovely medieval church of St John the Baptist. Nearby attractions include Peak Volumes, Bloomers Original Bakewell Puddings, Buxton, Poole's Cavern Country Park, Baked Well Pottery Painting, and Virgin Balloon Flights, making it an ideal location for exploring the area with family or friends.
