The cottage boasts views of the harbour from the front and a private patio-garden at the rear with direct access to the beach. Guests can enjoy the unique character and charm of the property, which has been renovated throughout. Two designated parking spaces are available across the footbridge at Porlock Weir, just a short walk from the cottage. Amenities include towels, bed linen, wifi, heating, and electricity, with a security deposit of £100 required.

One well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional fee, with the possibility of accommodating two small dogs upon request. Dogs must be kept downstairs, off the furniture, and not left alone in the property. Arrival is from 4 pm, and departure is by 10 am on the last day of the stay. Guests are asked to leave the property clean and tidy for the next occupants. Nearby attractions include Dovery Manor Museum, Dunster Dolls Museum, Porlock Weir Harbour, and the South West Coast Path Section 1 Trailhead, making Western Cottage an ideal base for exploring the area.
