Located in Wheddon Cross, Somerset in the South West of England, this charming cottage sleeps 4 guests and features an open fire. Situated around the yard of the owner's small farm, the cottage offers a peaceful retreat while also serving as a convenient base for exploring the beautiful Exmoor and Somerset region. Guests can enjoy stunning views by walking up to Dunkery Beacon from the farm's top gate, and the nearby village of Wheddon Cross offers a local shop, pub, and famous snowdrop displays in February.

The cottage's lounge is a cozy space for spending time with loved ones, complete with a TV/DVD for entertainment. In the warmer months, guests can open the stable door to let in fresh air, while the wood burner provides a warm ambiance during cooler weather. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped for family meals, with amenities such as an electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. Upstairs, there are two twin bedrooms that can be converted into a super king size bed upon request, one of which features a small balcony. The family shower room includes a shower and WC.

Outside, guests can relax on the enclosed decked area with seating, enjoying the far-reaching views and warm Somerset evenings. A small enclosed garden provides another space for unwinding, and there is off-road parking for two cars. Additional amenities include individual store cupboards for bikes and surfboards, laundry facilities, a hose and sink with hot water for washing pets, a dog kennel and run, and Wi-Fi (though it may be intermittent due to the location). Children under the age of 16 are not permitted at the property. Nearby attractions include the West Somerset Steam Railway, Valley of the Rocks, and the medieval town of Dunster with its shops, cafes, and castle.
