For families and steam train enthusiasts, the Severn Valley Railway is a must-visit attraction. The railway is dog-friendly and features full-size locomotives, with the station also home to the Museum of Village Life housed in a vintage Post Office sorting carriage. Bridgnorth Station, just a 20-minute drive away, is the starting point for the scenic Severn Valley train ride. Food lovers will also appreciate the many local farm shops, dairies, vineyards, and festivals in the area.

Onsite, there is an 18th-century country inn along the River Severn, open year-round and serving lunches, evening meals, and afternoon cream teas. The inn is also dog-friendly, and guests can enjoy a full English breakfast (additional cost) from 7.30am to 9am with pre-booking essential. The property is approximately a mile from the River Severn, known for its challenging Barbel fishing, with daily fishing tickets available on site.

The traditional cottage features three bedrooms, including two on the first floor (1 double and 1 twin) and one on the ground floor (1 double with TV). There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a separate wet room on the ground floor. The cozy lounge boasts exposed beams, a wood burner, TV, and DVD player, while the kitchen/diner is equipped with an electric oven, fridge/freezer, and microwave. A separate utility room houses a washing machine. Outside, guests can relax in the garden with a large patio area and seating, with parking available for 2 cars.
