Just six miles from the coast, guests can visit the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve and Holy Island, accessible only by tidal causeway and home to an abundance of wildlife. St Abbs, a short drive away, offers fantastic walks and diving opportunities, while the Berwickshire coast is known for its diverse marine wildlife.
Within an hour's train journey are the cities of Edinburgh and Newcastle, offering excellent shopping and leisure facilities. Outdoor enthusiasts will find numerous country and coastal tracks for mountain biking and walking, as well as golf courses, fishing spots, and shooting opportunities nearby. For a bustling day out, Berwick upon Tweed is a seaside town with a thriving arts scene, shops, and eateries.
The cottage, one of two on the owner's farm, features a lounge/diner with two comfortable sofas and a TV/DVD for entertainment. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, with a separate utility room housing a washing machine. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with sloping cottage ceilings, a double room, and a twin room, as well as a bathroom with a shower over bath. Outside, guests can relax in the enclosed garden with a hot tub, seating area, garden furniture, and BBQ, with ample off-road parking and a hose for washing bikes and dogs.
