Originally built in the 19th century and converted 50 years ago, the Bothy underwent a full refurbishment in 2014 and is finished to a high standard. Visitors can enjoy the local wildlife, including birds, red squirrels, stoats, hares, rabbits, and deer.

The Bothy is heated by a biomass boiler, and the first £30 worth of electricity is free for weekly stays. Drinking water is provided by a private water supply monitored for quality and safety. Bed linen, towels, a cot, and a high chair are provided, along with basic Sky Freeview and Wi-Fi. A welcome pack is supplied upon arrival. Bookings are taken on a weekly basis during high season, with shorter stays considered in autumn and winter. The property is available from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival and check-out is at 10 am on the departure day. No smoking is allowed, and pets are not permitted. A refundable good housekeeping deposit of £200 is required.
