Originally built in the 19th century for the manager of a nearby woollen mill, the cottage has been sympathetically restored and is within walking distance of the village center and beautiful beach. Nearby attractions include Newport Castle ruins, a links golf course, and easy access to the Wales coastal footpath, making it an ideal location for village amenities, boat trips, fishing, and walking. The area also offers stunning local views.
The cottage has 4 bedrooms, including 2 double and 2 twin rooms, with a futon in the sitting room. The ground floor comprises a kitchen diner, lounge, sitting room, utility, and WC, while the first floor includes a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two twin bedrooms, and a master bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, and washing machine. Entertainment options include a TV, books, board games, CD player, and radio. Families can request a cot and high chair, but must bring their own cot bedding.
Outside, there is a garden with a BBQ area and a raised grass area accessed via a gate. Off-road parking is available for 3 cars, and guests have access to a garage for secure bike and kayak storage. The cottage also features a log fire, WiFi, heating, and electricity, with towels and bed linen provided. No pets are allowed, and guests are reminded to bring their own beach towels. An initial supply of logs is included, and guests may need to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver. Full travel and key collection instructions will be emailed upon receipt of full payment. The area offers various activities, including golfing, and attractions such as Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Llys-y-fran Reservoir and Country Park, Dyffryn Fernant Gardens, and Welsh Wildlife Centre.
