The cottage, built in the 1800s of Cotswold stone, overlooks the garden designed by a tree management professor from Oxford University. The garden is approximately 1.5 acres and offers a quiet spot to relax. Guests are welcome to explore the adjacent Site of Special Scientific Interest, which showcases orchids in the spring and early summer. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including an electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washer dryer. The cottage features organic cotton bedding, sheep's wool duvets and pillows, and a comfortable Herdysleep mattress.
Pets are allowed at Masons Cottage, with one well-behaved dog welcome from January to mid-August. The garden is not completely dog-proof, so dogs must be kept on a lead when chickens are present. There are two friendly dogs on the property that may greet guests. The area offers a variety of activities and attractions, including Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bicester Village Designer Outlet, and more. Guests can enjoy local walks, dog-friendly pubs, and cafes in the surrounding area.
