Located in the peaceful hamlet of Detchant in Northumberland, this traditional family holiday cottage sleeps up to 7 people and offers un-interrupted views of Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands. The cottage is well-equipped with modern facilities, including a kitchen, lounge with open fireplace, and comfortable bedrooms. Walkers and cyclists have easy access to paths and trails through woodland and moorland, with popular routes such as St Cuthbert’s Way and Sandstone Way passing close by.

The ground floor of the cottage features a hallway, lounge, kitchen/diner, bathroom, and utility room. There is also a single bedroom without an external window. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with two single beds and a bunkbed, as well as a folding travel cot available. The cottage is heated with electricity and coal for the open fire, and duvets are provided for all beds. Bedding and towels are available upon request, or guests can bring their own.

Outside, the cottage has a small front garden and an enclosed private garden at the rear, as well as parking for up to two cars. Nearby attractions include the town of Belford, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Berwick upon Tweed, and Alnwick Castle and Garden. The Black Swan in Belford offers good pub food, and the area is ideal for outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing, swimming, hiking, and horse riding. While the cottage does not have WiFi, it provides a peaceful rural setting for visitors to enjoy the Northumberland coast and countryside.
