Rockside Cottage

Feel like a local in this former fisherman’s cottage. It sits on the shores of Embleton Bay, in a square of white-washed cottages. Just opposite is the cosy country pub, The Ship Inn, where you’ll able to join the locals for a traditional ale form their brewery and dance the night away to folk music. 

The open seascape streams light into this two-bedroom cottage, creating a bright and airy space.  It can accommodate four people and two dogs. There’s no garden, but pup will be able to stretch his legs with walks along the dog-friendly beaches of Low Newton-by-Sea and Embleton. 

You could spend all day exploring the vast sands of this beautiful stretch of the Northumberland coastline. It’s dotted with castles; Dunstanburgh is a 10 minute drive to the south, Bamburgh is a 30 minute drive to the north and Lindisfarne is just across the sea on Holy Island.
