Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage 2 is a cosy seafront house at end of the iconic red and white, Souter Lighthouse. It was built in 1871 to ward ships from the dangerous rocks at Whitburn Steel, and this two-bedroom cottage would have housed the former keeper and his family. This peaceful property boasts stunning sea views.
From your base at Souter, head north to The Leas, a two and a half miles stretch of magnesian limestone cliffs, wave-cut foreshore and coastal grassland to explore.
Further afield, why not explore one of our nearby properties? Washington Old Hall is a 12 mile drive, Gibside 23 miles, and Cragside 40 miles from the cottage.
