Nearby Roman forts and museums at Vindolanda and Housesteads are popular attractions, as well as The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre for exhibitions and rooftop walks. Hexham, Newcastle, and Carlisle are also within easy reach for further exploration.

Upon entering the cottage, guests are welcomed into a cosy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with underfloor heating, a wood burner, and charming features such as exposed beams and high ceilings. The well-equipped kitchen includes modern amenities like an electric oven, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, while a utility/boot room offers additional convenience with a freezer and washer/dryer.
