The nearby award-winning shop/café in Cornhill provides all the necessities and a great spot for coffee and lunch. Wooler, known as the Gateway to the Cheviots, offers a range of outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, golf, and riverside picnics, as well as various shops, pubs, and restaurants. Kelso, a historic market town with a racecourse, is a short drive away, offering fishing on the Tweed River and excellent dining options. The Pennine Way ends in Kirk Yetholm, just 5 miles away, with numerous paths for further exploration.

The cottage features underfloor heating throughout, making it a cozy retreat in any season. Upon entering, guests will find a utility/boot room with a washing machine and WC. The open plan lounge kitchen/diner is bright and airy, with rounded stone wall features adding character. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. The lounge opens up to a small hallway leading to two bedrooms: a super king size room with sliding doors to the patio and an en suite shower room, as well as a twin room with a sofa bed and en suite shower room.

Outside, guests can enjoy al fresco dining with a garden table and folding chairs, along with bench seats for relaxing with a book and coffee while taking in the views. The fenced garden also features an outside tap for cleaning boots and paws, although it is not fully enclosed. Nearby attractions include historic Berwick, the stunning coastline, Holy Island, Bamburgh, and Alnwick, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration and discovery.
