Priory House in York, North Yorkshire is a Grade 2 listed building dating back to the 18th Century, which was converted into apartments in 2006. The apartments retain many original features while also offering contemporary decoration and furnishings. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with granite work surfaces, living areas with widescreen TVs, iPod docks, and complimentary Wi-Fi. There are three apartments available for short term holiday rental, each with fully fitted kitchens, stylish dining areas, and comfortable lounges.
Apartment Nine, located on the top floor, can accommodate up to eight adults and has 2 double bedrooms, a separate sleeping area, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and granite work surfaces, and there is a dining area that seats 6 people comfortably. The lounge offers views of Clifford’s Tower and the City Walls, and includes a log burning fire. While there is a lift in the building, it does not reach the top floor, so there are a few narrow flights of stairs to climb.
Parking is available to book at £10 a night, with 2 spaces for 3 apartments, so booking in advance is recommended. Priory House is strictly no smoking and does not accommodate pets or "Stag" groups. When booking, guests will receive full directions and check-in details. The location is close to local landmarks such as Micklegate Bar and York Dungeon, as well as natural attractions like Rawcliffe Country Park and Howardian Hills. The Yorkshire Museum Gardens and National Railway Museum are also nearby for visitors to explore.
