This lovely cottage was built around 1600 as a stable for Ruswarp Hall, but converted more than a century ago. It is situated in the pretty village of Ruswarp just two miles from Whitby. The river Esk flows through Ruswarp and there is boating, golfing and walking. Shops, a riverside cafe and a local inn are within walking distance.

The cottage is traditionally furnished with a great deal of charm and character. Entrance, hallway. Lounge with open working fire in brick fireplace. Next to the lounge is a kitchen/diner with beamed ceiling and ornamental brick fireplace. Fairly steep cottage stairs lead to the first floor. There are three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with a 4ft double bed. Ample storage. There is a bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle toilet and washbasin. From the kitchen a few stone steps lead up to an attractive south-facing lawned garden with garden furniture and BBQ.

Refrigerator, electric cooker with oven, microwave and a washing machine. Flat screen TV with blue-ray player, radio/CD player. Gas central heating. Bed linen is provided. Non-smokers only! Sorry, no pets. Cottage style garden to the front and deep lawned garden at the back. Private parking close by. Towels can be arranged by request directly with the owner at an additional cost of £15.
