Curlew

Ripon, North Yorkshire

6

Curlew is the largest of five cottages at How Hill. Originally a threshing barn and horse engine room, the cottage is bursting with character and boasts many original features.

After a hearty Yorkshire breakfast, make the most of the cottage’s location and head out into Fountains Abbey’s deer park, just a mile from the holiday home.

After working up an appetite, make the short journey by car to the North Yorkshire Moors. As well as offering amazing views over sweeping moorland, the area is full of fantastic restaurants and pubs. Drive a little further through the moors to reach its raw and wild coastline. Head up the cliffs for views over the small fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay.
