The cottage features one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, with a bath and overhead shower or standalone shower. Pets are not allowed on the property.

Nestled beside the banks of the River Esk, Captain Cook’s Haven is just a mile away from the bustling seaside resort of Whitby. The cottages are privately owned, individually furnished, and well-equipped, offering an ideal touring center for exploring nearby fishing villages, sandy bays, and seaside resorts. Guests can enjoy the use of a superb indoor heated swimming pool and children's play areas on both levels of the site.

The location also provides easy access to attractions like the historic city of York, Castle Howard, and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway passes Captain Cook’s Haven, offering a scenic ride or walk along the old railway track towards Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay. Facilities at Captain Cook’s Haven include free WiFi, gas barbecues, and a launderette.
