Filey Farm is a charming 4-person cottage located on the outskirts of the seaside town of Filey in North Yorkshire. The cottage, converted from the old hay loft, features vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, set in lovely gardens. Ideal for families, groups of 4, or couples seeking accommodation in a semi-rural location, the cottage offers a large double room with a king-size bed and another room with full-size twin beds, both equipped with flat-screen TVs. The house bathroom includes a bath and shower, while the open-plan downstairs area boasts hardwood floors, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and a downstairs cloakroom. The lounge area features leather sofas, a large flat-screen TV, and access to an outside garden and patio area, with a dining table for 4 people.
The cottage includes Wi-Fi, although it may occasionally go down, so it's not recommended for business use. Outside, there is a patio area with table and seats, a large garden area, and ample parking, with neighbors likely to be sheep in adjacent fields during the summer. Guests may even spot a deer or owl in the fields at dawn or dusk. The cottage is conveniently close to Filey's center with its restaurants and a lovely beach within walking distance, providing a semi-rural setting. Ample parking directly outside the cottage is a real bonus, offering great value compared to nearby large accommodation sites. Bed linen is provided, but towels and tea towels are not included, and guests must remove all bed linen and leave it in the laundry bags provided by the front door upon departure. Pets are not allowed, and there is a £25/week charge per vehicle if the cottage is used to charge a car, paid locally.
Located in a rural area near the beach, Filey Farm offers easy access to cultural highlights like The Yorkshire Wolds Gallery and The Richard Burton Art Centre.
