Built in the 1500s, this stunning 16th-century flint and brick former merchant's house features a lookout tower on the fourth floor, offering breathtaking coastal views over East Fleet creek, the harbour, marshes, and sea beyond. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a neutral palette and comes with off-street parking for one car and a sunny south-facing courtyard garden with a barbecue seating area.

Inside the cottage, guests will find two steep Norfolk winder staircases, a cozy sitting room with a wood-burning stove, four luxurious bedrooms, a shower room, and two bathrooms. The third floor houses a television room that can also serve as a fifth bedroom, accommodating up to 11 guests with the use of a sofa bed (recommended for children). The convivial kitchen/dining space on the ground floor provides the perfect setting for enjoying meals and conversations, making it ideal for families or friends looking for a unique and stylish holiday home.

Due to its age, St Michael's Cottage features uneven floor levels, enclosed steep curved staircases, and narrow Norfolk winder stairs, making it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. However, the enchanting character of the cottage, along with its history and charm, will captivate those who stay. Additionally, the cottage can be rented as a sleeps four option by closing off the second-floor bedrooms. One well-behaved dog is welcome for a small additional charge, and eight Tassimo coffee pods are provided for the coffee machine, adding to the comfort and convenience of guests during their stay.
