Set back on a quiet side road in popular Thornham, Drifters is a wonderfully luxurious cottage for friends and families that are looking for a special stay on the Norfolk coast. From Drifters, you’re able to walk the coastal path, or to the beach or to one of Thornham's award winning restaurants, delis and independent shops, before returning back to the comfort of this fabulous retreat.
Upon arrival, you’re greeted by the light and airy open-plan kitchen and dining room. It is likely to be here where most will start and end their day, so the addition of a coffee machine, island breakfast bar and comfortable seating really helps to keep everyone comfortable and well looked after. From here, you’re able to access the study, games room or, via the french doors, the enclosed rear garden. It is very much the ‘hub’ of the house.
The four bedrooms have all been prepared to a hotel standard, with comfortable beds and white five star linens to dress them. In the en-suite bathrooms, the owners have gone to the trouble of providing bathroom products, while sundries have also been left so that you can settle into your stay. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor and is accompanied by an en-suite shower room, giving the property added flexibility to guests.
Being detached, Drifters is surrounded by an enclosed garden to the rear, with generous parking and small lawn in front of the property. The garden benefits from mature planting and also features a patio with seating and charcoal barbecue. The adjacent land is an area of grassland that encourages barn owls, kestrels and other raptors into the village, so you can relax in the comfort of the garden, while still being treated to wildlife highlights. The house also offers an EV charger.
