Nearby, there are privately owned fishing lakes at Barford, as well as the quieter seaside resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh, and the famous Broads for day boat hire. The city of Norwich, with its theatres, castle, museums, and cathedral, is only 9 miles away and easily accessible by the 19th Century train station in Wymondham.
