6

Located in Horsey, Norfolk, this charming converted cottage offers a unique blend of rustic history and modern comfort, accommodating up to six guests. Once part of a working farmyard, the cottage features a striking red brick exterior complemented by vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, and exposed flint walls that echo its agricultural past. The surrounding area boasts stunning natural beauty, with expansive water meadows, sand dunes, and the picturesque Norfolk coast just waiting to be explored.

2 Horsey Barns is one of three barns situated in a traditional farmyard cattle court, alongside 1 and 3 Horsey Barns. The interior includes two bedrooms—a double and a twin—along with a restricted height mezzanine area available upon request, which can accommodate two children. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area fosters a sociable atmosphere, perfect for starting the day’s adventures. Additionally, a small sun trap courtyard outside the front door provides an inviting space for al-fresco dining after a day of exploration.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the location offers over 10 miles of soft sandy beaches just a 10-minute walk away, ideal for leisurely strolls or sunbathing. Nearby tea rooms and pubs serve as excellent spots to refuel after a day of activities. Visitors can also engage in water-based adventures such as wildlife boat trips, kayaking, or fishing on the Broads, with opportunities to spot grey seals during their breeding season.

The tranquil and unspoiled atmosphere of this region is perfect for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. Guests can visit the iconic Horsey Windpump for breathtaking panoramic views or explore historical sites like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, both managed by the National Trust. For a livelier experience, the seaside town of Great Yarmouth is just a half-hour drive away, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Pleasure Beach and Sea Life Centre.
