Formerly in use as a part of the Silverstone Farm Estate in the rural location of North Elmham, The Engine House was given a new lease of life by the highly respected garden designer, George Carter, and now offers small groups the opportunity to enjoy this tranquil corner of beautiful North Norfolk.
The Engine House in North Elmham offers a cosy sitting room that features ample seating, shelves of eclectic reading material, a small television and an open fire. Nearby, the well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, microwave and dishwasher, while also being stocked with a full inventory of tableware and cookware. You'll also find a dining table for four guests, providing a space for enjoying meals together.
The bedrooms in The Engine House are designed for comfort and relaxation and offer a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with en suite shower rooms that include a WC and washbasin. All beds are dressed in hypoallergenic fibre bedding, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep.
Outside, The Engine House is surrounded by a quiet and peaceful rural location, allowing guests to fully unwind and enjoy their holiday. A small courtyard with bistro seating is available for guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Off-road parking is provided for two cars. Guests also have the opportunity to arrange access to the owner's formal gardens, where they can enjoy the privileged of staying with garden designer of such renown. Inspired by 17th-century Dutch gardens, the owner has transformed the Norfolk farmland into a tranquil and formal oasis. With prior arrangement, guests can explore and appreciate the beauty of this unique garden during their stay.
