Located in Holt, Norfolk, Songbirds is a charming Victorian flint cottage that sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Situated near the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this cottage is the ideal base for exploring the North Norfolk coast with its sandy beaches, pine forests, and wide-open skies. The nearby Holt Country Park offers over 100 acres of woodland to explore, along with organized events, excellent bird watching, walking, and cycling opportunities in the area. Coastal villages like Blakeney and Cley are just five miles away, while the sandy beach at Sheringham is a short six-mile drive from the cottage.
The cottage has been completely refurbished in 2021 to a high standard of comfort while retaining its Grade 2 listed charm and character. The cozy lounge features wooden flooring, a two-seater sofa, two armchairs, and a smart TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other channels. The lounge opens onto a spacious dining area with a round wooden table and chairs, leading to a light and airy kitchen with modern amenities. Outside, a small courtyard garden with a table and chairs is perfect for al-fresco dining or enjoying a glass of wine.
Upstairs, the cottage offers two bedrooms and a newly refitted shower room with a rain forest shower. The main bedroom has a wrought iron double bed, while the second bedroom has full-sized wooden bunk beds. Both bedrooms feature solid oak furniture and brand new award-winning mattresses. Guests should note that parking is located about 200 meters from the property, and Songbirds does not have room for a cot in the bedrooms. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee, but they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or upstairs. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the cottage. With its modern amenities, comfortable furnishings, and convenient location, Songbirds offers a relaxing and enjoyable stay for guests looking to explore the beauty of the Norfolk coast.
