Beachview Cottage is a charming 1800’s fisherman’s cottage located in Scratby, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in the East of England. This lovely cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms and is pet-friendly, making it the perfect seaside getaway. The cottage features an open fire, a large dog-friendly garden, and boasts wonderful sea views. The ground floor includes a living room with a wood burner, a dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a modern shower room. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms - one with a king-size bed and the other with bunk beds.
The cottage has been completely refurbished and redecorated in 2022/23 to offer a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The living room is cozy with leather sofas and a wood burner, perfect for relaxing evenings. The kitchen and dining room provide a great space for dining at home. Outside, there is a large, private, enclosed garden where guests can relax and dine al fresco. The location is fantastic, opposite the sandy beach of Scratby, which is open to dog walkers all year round. The beach is easily accessible via a concrete rampway, suitable for all abilities.
Guests can explore the Norfolk Broads National Park, known for activities such as fishing, walking, bird watching, sailing, and paddle boarding. The coastal village of Scratby offers pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, and entertainment options within walking distance. Nearby attractions include the wild seals breeding on the beaches at Horsey and Winterton between November and February, as well as the traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth, which offers a range of activities and attractions for visitors.
For those looking for a change of pace, the nearby city of Norwich offers historical sites, museums, galleries, and theaters to explore. The cottage is also within driving distance of Wroxham and North Norfolk, where National Trust sites can be found. Please note that small to medium-sized dogs are allowed at the property, but no children or babies are permitted due to the open, steep, spiral, or narrow stairs. Beachview Cottage provides a comfortable and relaxing base for exploring the beautiful East of England coastline and surrounding attractions.
