Fully updated in 2022, this traditional brick and native flint cottage has everything you would expect of a period property; exposed beams, an original fireplace, tiled and wooden flooring, steep Norfolk winder stairs and a bathroom that's on the ground floor. With a brand new heating system, that includes underfloor heating in the sitting room and kitchen, and the addition of an efficient wood burning stove, guests will be kept lovely and cosy. The sitting room is comfortably and warmly furnished embracing its character to the full, plus the room hosts a small dining area beside the stove. The adjoining kitchen is well-equipped and provides access to the enclosed, south facing garden at the back of the cottage where it catches the sun's rays. There is a useful utility area with laundry facilities just inside the entrance door, and beyond that is a new bathroom suite offering both bath and shower options. On the first floor (mind the stairs) is an inviting king-size bedroom decorated in calming soft grey and blue hues, helping to encourage a good night's sleep.
Great Walsingham is a pretty village made up of period properties and flint cottages. Across the village road is Great Walsingham Barns a small complex with a cafe serving delicious food and drinks, as well as a couple of enticing galleries to browse. Walkers will enjoy taking a stroll down to the pretty ford, which you can easily cross if you wish, to spot a kingfisher fishing. The historic neighbouring village of Little Walsingham (ironically much bigger!) is home to lovely Priory gardens which can easily be reached on foot, and is well worth a visit.
