The cottage's name, pronounced Folk-sall, refers to the sailors' living quarters on a ship, reflecting its peaceful and secluded location in the Glaven valley.

The open-plan ground floor of Fo'c'sle features a well-equipped kitchen, a bright dining area with double doors opening into a private courtyard, and a cozy sitting room with a wood-burning stove. Upstairs, the large bedroom offers lovely views over the church and valley, a comfortable king-size bed, and an en-suite shower room. The cottage is tastefully furnished with finishing touches from the local pottery/gallery "Made in Cley," adding to its charm and character.

Nestled between the coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton provides easy access to the beauty of the Glaven valley, wildlife, birdlife, and walking opportunities, all while being just a mile south of the coast road. The area is served by the 'Coasthopper' bus service along the A149 coast road, making it convenient for walkers to explore the Norfolk coast path and visit coastal villages without needing a car. Additionally, Wiveton Downs is a designated "Dark Skies" site, perfect for stargazing and possibly witnessing the northern lights.

The owners of Fo'c'sle live next door and are available to provide tips on local activities and attractions. The cottage welcomes two well-behaved dogs for an additional charge but is not suitable for infants or children. Guests should note that synthetic pillows and duvets are provided, and there is no starter pack or welcome hamper included at the property.
