Located in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, Albert's Cottage is a charming 200-year-old hideaway that was once home to a Norfolk fisherman. Situated just 100 meters from Wells quay, this cottage exudes traditional seaside charm and is perfect for a romantic getaway. The cottage has been the backdrop for three marriage proposals in the last five years, thanks to its characterful beams and cozy fireplace.
The open-plan living area on the ground floor features original oak beams and a wood-burning stove set in an exposed brick fireplace. The well-equipped kitchen area is perfect for preparing meals with local produce, and a circular table provides seating for four. Upstairs, the south-facing master bedroom offers rooftop views and a comfortable double bed, while a shower room serves the bedroom.
Outside, a quaint courtyard garden with rattan furniture and a barbecue invites guests to dine al fresco on summer evenings. On-street parking is available, with a public car park nearby. Albert's Cottage is popular with Norfolk Hideaways guests, offering a high standard of accommodation with thoughtful touches such as tea and cake upon arrival and a warming fire in the winter months.
Albert's Cottage can also be booked as a sleeps four option by closing off the second bedroom. The cottage has a maximum occupancy of two people, does not allow dogs or 'Tennis Week' guests, and guests are advised to bring their own capsules for the Nespresso coffee machine. The Norfolk winder staircase in the cottage is enclosed, steep, curved, narrow, carpeted, and has a solid handrail on one side for safety.
