The Chapel in Upwell Village, Norfolk, is a beautifully designed house that sleeps 12 people in 5 bedrooms. It was built in 1803 and recently converted into a spacious home with large social spaces perfect for entertaining. The main floor features an enormous drawing room with two lounge areas, a dining area, and a large country kitchen with a separate pantry/utility room and cloakroom. Outside, there are two lounging areas, one with an open fireplace and a Weber drum BBQ, as well as a private mooring for boats.
On the first floor, there are four large double bedrooms with king-sized beds and memory foam mattresses, including a master bedroom with a super king-sized bed. There is also a large wet room with a rainfall shower and a lovely bathroom with a roll-top bath. The second floor houses an open plan master suite with a fifth king-sized bed and two occasional guest beds, as well as a spacious lounge area with a 48" Samsung smart TV and a Sonos music system throughout the house.
The village of Upwell offers three pubs, a post office, convenience store, butchers, and fish and chips shop, all within walking distance of the house. There are lovely walks along the river, a child-friendly park, a 12th-century church, and a narrow boat company for day trips on the rivers. Nearby attractions include Hunstanton and Holkom beaches, Sandringham, Downham Market with trains to London, and Ely. The location of the vacation home in Wisbech is in a rural area and on the waterfront, offering opportunities for water adventures, sailing, fishing, mountain biking, and cycling.
