Located in Burnley, Lancashire, this late 1700s canal side cottage is part of the Finsley Gate Wharf regeneration project, which received over 3 million pounds for total renovation in September 2021. The cottage, once the turnbridge keeper's home, has been lovingly restored into a modern guesthouse with 4 rooms - 2 en-suite bedrooms and 2 large suites. The Turner En-suite Double Room, located on the ground floor, sleeps 2 and features new wooden flooring, a built-in wardrobe, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a minimal white bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
House rules at this guesthouse include a 1pm check-in and 10am check-out time, no smoking or parties allowed, and pets are welcome. Free parking is available on the premises. Guests can book the other 3 rooms separately or all 4 rooms together to have access to the entire cottage. Within the Finsley Gate Wharf grounds, guests can enjoy the Saw Mill Cafe & Bar, co-working space, Robert Whitworth Restaurant, and function suite, along with extensive terraces leading to the water's edge.
The 19th Century Warehouse and Saw Mill within Finsley Gate Wharf have already undergone renovation and are open to the public. Guests can make reservations for the restaurant and café, especially on weekends. Check-out is at 10 am, and guests can enjoy the brunch menu at Finsley Gate Wharf, served from 10 am. This apartment is conveniently located near local landmarks such as Towneley Hall and Gawthorpe Hall, as well as activities like The Woodland Spa and Inside Spa. Turf Moor and Blackburn Arena offer opportunities to enjoy events or games in the area.
