St Nicholas House is a wonderful victorian property standing on the east cliff high above the harbour - you can stroll across the nearby park, sit on the bench, gaze out across the sea and relax or walk down to the sandy beach just a few hundred yards away armed with your buckets and spades and start fossil hunting. Great walks await along the cliffs - or maybe visit the Martello Tower on Copt Point or enjoy a friendly match on the pitch and putt course? Fine food available at the acclaimed Mark Sargeant restaurant amongst many others taking advantage of seafood provided by the active fishing fleet. There is a  busy harbour and Folkestone is obviously perfect for nipping across to France for a day trip - either by ferry or by Eurotunnel.
