Situated within the heart of the conservation area in the charming seaside town of Deal, Maritime Cottage is a desirable holiday home for those looking to escape to the seaside. The house is steeped in history and has even been awarded a Deal Society blue plaque for being the home of Catharine Boys, the 19th century philanthropist, who set up an orphanage. A large kitchen to the back has a stable door out to the pretty courtyard, which makes a lovely outside dining space during the summer months. There is a wonderful sitting room with exposed brickwork chimney breast surrounding the log burner, and also a good sized dining room off the kitchen with an extendable table seating up to eight, providing ample space for family groups. It sleeps six people comfortably. The stairs to the upper floors and exposed beams (retrieved from ships) evoke the maritime past of Deal. All three bedrooms are a good size, two doubles on the first floor and a twin snuggles under the eaves at the top of the house.
