This sweet little Grade II listed barn is completely hidden away behind the village shop and is located right on the edge of the Medway with the medieval bridge only yards away. Lovely views across the river to the more modern crossing from the kitchen and bedroom windows. The village is only a few minutes drive from the county town of Maidstone and just outside is the world famous Aylesford Priory - home to monks of the Order of Carmelites since the 13th Century - a visit is an absolute must. In the heart of the village are two pubs for super food and chef Richard Phillips renowned restaurant Hengist is just a few doors down for a more sophisticated menu. There is a station minutes away with regular trains to London (35 mins) and to the coast at Hastings - so this is a terrific base from which to enjoy all that Kent & Sussex have to offer.
