Situated in the stunning west highland scenery on the Morvern side of Loch Sunart, the cottage offers a unique experience where time seems to have stopped. The rental period is from April to the end of October, with a minimum stay of seven nights starting on a Saturday. The cottage is cosy, comfortable, and well-maintained, with minimal changes made since the mid-18th century.

Sleeping arrangements are flexible, with the option for additional guests if some are small. The cottage features electricity, a bath, a separate toilet, and a kitchen rayburn for heat, although there is no central heating. Guests can enjoy the wood burner in the sitting room but should note that there is no television. Mobile reception is limited, but there is a telephone with fast broadband available. From 2018 onwards, guests no longer need to do their own caretaking, as the price includes cleaning and changeovers by the caretaker, Pat.

Guests are advised to bring their own towels and staple foods, although there are general stores in Strontian, about five miles away, for provisions. The cottage is pet-friendly, allowing for lap dogs or larger dogs. Guests are encouraged to bring outdoor gear such as wellies, wet-weather gear, sun cream, and midge repellent.
