The property is managed by David and Lorna Paton, who have been taking care of Dalmigavie for 18 years and live in a nearby cottage. The location is 6 miles off the A9 near Tomatin, 40 minutes from Inverness airport, 20 minutes from Carrbridge station, and two hours from Edinburgh.

House rules include no dogs allowed in the house without prior arrangement and no smoking. Dogs must be kept on leads outside to protect wildlife such as sheep, deer, red squirrels, and nesting birds during the Spring. Guests are asked to treat the house, grounds, river, and hills with care and respect. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy salmon fishing on 4 miles of the Findhorn at Dalmigavie for £55 per day, with up to 4 rods available at a time. The property offers a secluded and peaceful retreat, with various outdoor activities nearby such as golf courses, the coast within 45 minutes, and the opportunity to experience the unpredictable weather of the Scottish Highlands.
