Situated just 11 miles from the village of Durness, this unspoilt area offers a wide range of activities, including opportunities to spot rare wildlife like golden eagles and red deer right outside the front door. The recent extension includes a larger kitchen, utility room, and a downstairs room with a sofa bed, as well as a wooden deck outside for easy access.

The downstairs area includes a bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet, with underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is also a sitting room with an electric fire, free sat television, board games, and a futon. Upstairs, there are two attic bedrooms with hanging spaces for clothes, dormer windows with views of the hills, and a hot water tank in the twin bedroom. The rooms are carpeted upstairs, while the downstairs features wooden painted floors and log fires or oil heaters for heating.

The kitchen is equipped with an oven, dishwasher, microwave, larder fridge, cutlery, crockery, toaster, coffee machine, and a clear view log burning stove. A breakfast bar offers additional seating with views. The dining room table can accommodate eight people, with chairs and easy chairs available. Electricity is charged based on usage, with meter readings taken at the beginning and end of the stay. Two grocery stores are available in Durness, with petrol at the Spar shop and additional food stores in Kinlockbervie and Lairg. Outdoor activities like fishing, swimming, cycling, and cave exploring are easily accessible in the area.
