Our holiday cottages, Rose Cottage, Stable Cottage, Edward’s Cottage, and Louisa’s Cottage, are located in Priors Dean, Petersfield, Hampshire, and can accommodate up to 8 guests. These cottages offer a peaceful retreat in the Hampshire countryside with stunning views of the valley, while being just a short drive from Petersfield with easy access to London and Portsmouth. The cottages are set on a small working farm, surrounded by footpaths, bridleways, and cycling routes, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities.
Stable Cottage, Edward’s Cottage, and Rose Cottage are all identical in size and layout, offering light and airy accommodation with two ground floor bedrooms and a special ‘hideaway’ bedroom for children. Louisa’s Cottage is a smaller property that can sleep up to 4/5 people. Pets are welcome at Downlands Farm, making it an ideal destination for families looking to bring their furry friends along. The cottages are conveniently located near three excellent pubs and the bustling market town of Petersfield, providing easy access to essential amenities.
The cottages are the result of a long-term dream to convert disused agricultural barns into luxury holiday homes. The larger properties feature open plan living spaces, well-equipped kitchens, private terraces, and gardens. Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as Smart TVs, free Wifi, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Children will love the ‘secret hideaway’ bedroom at the top of the property, providing them with their own space to play and relax.
Visitors to Downlands Farm can expect to see cows, dogs, and horses during their stay, as the cottages are set on a working small-holding. Each cottage has its own private patio and garden, but parking is shared among the properties. Due to the proximity of the cottages to each other and the farmhouse, guests should be prepared for some noise from children, animals, and sometimes adults. A car is essential for staying at Downlands Farm, and guests should be aware that the wifi and mobile phone signal may be weak due to the rural location.
