The tiny hamlet of Hale features a traditional village green and a well-stocked local shop, making it a peaceful and idyllic location for a getaway. Walnut Barn is pet-friendly, with a large entrance porch ideal for cleaning off muddy boots and drying wet dogs after exploring the surrounding countryside. The open plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area serves as the heart of the accommodation, complete with underfloor heating for comfort during out-of-season breaks.

French doors lead out to a wrap-around decking area that overlooks the orchards, where guests can enjoy a fire pit that doubles as a barbecue for alfresco dining on warm summer evenings. Both bedrooms are bright and airy, with French doors opening onto the decked area. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a luxurious ensuite bathroom, while the second bedroom features twin beds and a pristine ensuite shower room with a large walk-in rain shower. A separate utility room provides washing and drying facilities, as well as storage for bikes.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the abundance of wildlife in the area, with regular visits from deer and pheasants. Guests can explore local walks and cycle rides right from their doorstep, or venture to the picturesque town of Fordingbridge just 6 miles away for shopping, riverside pubs, and historic sites. The popular New Forest Water Park and Moors Valley Country Park, home to the exciting Go Ape! activity course, are both within a 15-minute drive, offering a range of outdoor adventures for visitors to enjoy.
